hmm, doesn't sound right at all, in fact impossible - you've got something else going on there that has no relation to ForumsPlus.

Edit your cms_modules database table (phpmyadmin) and change the Forums data:
set version to 1.0.0
set active to 1

Then empty your cache directory and you should be good to go - you will have to re-assign blocks to Forums, assign permissions and menu location.

Forums don't uninstall, so the data should be there.

So i reinserted it. Am now back up and running. Thank you.

That data line was missing from the cms_modules database table. I am not sure why??? But the old Forums back up and working.
